Shettima calls for increased Inclusivity, Women’s economic empowerment

Vice President Kashim Shettima made this pledge on Tuesday, highlighting the upcoming gender inclusion conference.

The Federal Government is stepping up its efforts to enhance gender inclusivity among its citizens.

This event is themed “Breaking Down Barriers and Building Resilience for Sustainable Economic and Financial Inclusion for Women.”

His Deputy Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Hadeja, represented the Vice President Kashim Shettima.

He shared that the conference will happen at the State House Conference Center this Thursday and Friday.

It’s an important gathering aimed at discussing women’s roles in national development and empowerment.

During his remarks, Kashim Shettima emphasized the significance of women’s empowerment for the country’s growth.

The conference, tagged #sheisincluded, aims to tackle pressing issues regarding women’s economic empowerment from a broad perspective.

Scheduled for January 30 and 31, 2025, it promises to be a significant event.

“This initiative stems from the Aso Accord recommendations, focusing on economic and financial inclusion,” he stated.

Furthermore, it will foster dialogue, collaboration, and practical solutions to empower women and address gender equality challenges throughout Nigeria and Africa.

Moreover, he reiterated that this conference reflects President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to promoting economic inclusion for women.
