This push took center stage during the 2025 Africa Border Security Week in Cape Town, held from May 6-7, where experts and policymakers gathered to shape the future of border security.

Together, they explored innovative solutions to shared challenges, discussing how technology can revolutionize border security while maintaining sovereignty.

The dialogue reinforced the importance of collaboration in tackling transnational threats and facilitating lawful trade.
