The Adamawa state government has increase support to hunters and vigilance groups operating in Madagali Local Government Area.
The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Ahmad Sajoh, who made this disclosure Thursday while addressing journalist, said that government was also reaching out to members of National Assembly from the state on the need to increase military presence in Madagali.
“We are taking the matter of security very serious, we are going to improve on military presence in Madagali, we have increased our support to hunters and vigilante in the local government area,” Sajoh stated.
The Commissioner described the recent waves of attacks in Madagali to be actions of degraded insurgents cut off from their main source of supply, raiding villages to loot food and non food items to survive and continue to instill fear in the public .
