The Oyo State Police Command has arrested the Chief Whip, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Wasiu Olafisoye Akinmoyede in connection with the assassination of the senatorial candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP), Hon Temitope Olatoye, a.k.a Sugar on Saturday March 9 during the governorship election in the state.
Olatoye was a member of the House of Representatives until he was gruesomely murdered.
The suspect, Hon Akinmoyede, representing Lagelu state constituency, was alleged to have had a hand in the killing of Hon Olatoye after casting his vote during the governorship election in Oyo State.
The security agency, it was gathered had written a letter to the state house of assembly that Hon Akinmoyede is currently under investigation.
