Breaking: Appeal Court panel confirms Jegede as Ondo PDP candidate

 

Appeal Court Panel ‎on Wednesday nullified removal of Eyitayo Jegede as eligible candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo governorship  election scheduled to hold on November 26.

The Appeal court also set aside the ruling of Federal high Court ordering Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remove Jegede name and replaced it with Jimoh ibrahim.

‎Abuja Division of the Appeal Court had last week suspended all pending matters relating to the ongoing judicial battle for an Ondo State governorship ticket, pending the determination of applications at the Supreme Court.

But, ‎The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the Abuja Division of the Appeal Court to continue its hearing in the ongoing legal battle for the Ondo State’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket.

All the objections filed by Jimoh Ibrahim and his loyalists were also dismissed by the Appeal Panel.

Justice Saulawa said the primary conducted by state executive which produced Ibrahim is a nullity and illegal.

All seven isues raised by Jegede counsel was ruled in his favour by Court of Appeal.
