All media stations in Kano have recalled their correspondents from the polling units during the state supplementary elections as violence erupted in various Kano areas on Saturday.
News of the withdrawal was releases by a Kano citizen, Amb Abbas Abdurrashed, on his Twitter handle @amb_abbas.

ElombahNews has earlier reported that pandemonium erupted in Kano as suspected thugs disrupted the electoral process at Suntulma Gama primary school in Nassarawa local government area of Kano state.
The suspected thugs sent voters away from their polling units while freely brandishing weapons.
They also attacked two journalists Maduabuchi Nmeribe of The Authority, and Kola Oyelere of Tribune
