2027: I Will Deduct One Million Votes From Tinubu — Marafa

Former APC chieftain, Senator Kabiru Marafa, has vowed to strip President Bola Tinubu of at least one million votes in the 2027 general elections.

Marafa, who previously coordinated the Tinubu/Shettima 2023 Presidential Campaign Council in Zamfara State, made the statement during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Monday, September 1.

“Whether Mr President will win or not is a question, but I assure you this: I am going to deduct one million votes out of Mr President’s votes from 2023.

Mark my words. 2027 will determine who is a featherweight,” he declared.

Senator Marafa had confirmed his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday, signaling a significant rift within the party.

Political analysts suggest Marafa’s defection and public vow could influence electoral dynamics, particularly in the North-West region, where he holds substantial political sway.

The 2027 elections are shaping up to be highly competitive, with opposition coalitions and former political heavyweights positioning themselves for a strong showing.

Marafa’s comments follow recent warnings by other APC leaders about potential alliances between opposition figures, which could challenge the ruling party’s dominance.
