Revoked visas: Shehu Sani urges Nigerians to leave US immediately

(DDM) – Former Senator Shehu Sani has warned Nigerians whose visas were recently revoked by the United States administration to return home without delay.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that Sani advised affected Nigerians and other Africans to leave the US before they face arrest by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

He emphasized that no matter how comfortable life abroad may appear, migrants must remember they are not in their home country.

Sani stated that Nigerians and thousands of Africans with revoked visas should hasten their departure before being detained by US authorities.

He added that even after years of living comfortably in an adopted country, immigrants may be reminded that it is not their father’s home.

The warning comes amid reports that the Trump administration has started enforcing stricter immigration measures.

These measures reportedly include the mass revocation of visas and reviews of existing residency permits for foreign nationals.

Reports say the policy has triggered anxiety among African immigrants living in the United States.

Many affected individuals are uncertain about their legal status and fear potential deportation.

The implementation of these immigration policies reflects a broader trend of tightening US border enforcement under the current administration.

Observers note that such actions may disproportionately impact migrants from African nations.

Experts suggest that affected individuals seek legal advice and prepare for possible repatriation.

Sani’s advice underscores the urgency for affected migrants to take immediate action to avoid complications with immigration authorities.

The situation highlights the challenges and vulnerabilities faced by Africans living in the United States under shifting immigration policies.

The move by the US government has sparked debate and concern among migrant communities and human rights organizations.

Many are calling for clarity and transparency regarding visa revocations and enforcement procedures.

The anxiety among immigrants is compounded by fears of sudden detention and deportation.

This development adds to the growing tension surrounding US immigration reforms and enforcement strategies.

Affected Nigerians and Africans are now under pressure to make quick decisions about their future in the United States.

Sani’s warning serves as a reminder of the importance of awareness and preparedness for migrants facing changing policies abroad.
