BREAKING: Bandits Strike Again, Abduct 11 in Kwara

Bandits have launched another attack in Kwara State, abducting 11 residents in a late-night raid on Isapa community in Ekiti Local Government Area.

The incident occurred on Monday, barely two weeks after gunmen stormed the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in the same local government, kidnapping 38 worshippers and leaving several others dead.

More than 20 armed men were said to have invaded Isapa with a large herd of cattle, firing shots across the community as residents fled for safety. An elderly woman was reportedly struck by a stray bullet.

A local leader who confirmed the attack but requested anonymity said 11 people were taken, including seven members of the same household. The kidnapped victims include a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers and several children.

The abducted residents were listed as:

– Talatu Kabiru, 20

– Magaji, 6 (male)

– Kande, 5 (female)

– Hadiza, 10

– Mariam, 6

– Saima, 5

– Habibat, housewife

– Fatima Yusuf, pregnant woman

– Sarah Sunday, 22

– Lami Fidelis, 23, nursing mother

– Haja Na Allah, nursing mother

Eyewitnesses said the attackers moved through several parts of the community, leaving bullet holes in doors and walls. Spent AK-47 cartridges were recovered after the gunmen retreated.

Police authorities have not yet released an official statement on the incident.
