Defence Academy Opens Recruitment Portal: Step-by-Step Application Guide

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has announced that online applications for its 78 Regular Course will open on Friday, November 28, 2025.

The registration window will run until April 30, 2026.

The notice was issued on Wednesday, November 26, by the Academy’s Registrar, Major Mohammed Maidawa on its official X formerly Twitter platform.

He confirmed that the new admission cycle is open to qualified male and female Nigerians who wish to join the prestigious military institution.

According to the statement, all prospective candidates must apply through the official NDA application portal.

Applicants must generate an Order ID and a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code directly from the portal. They must then proceed to pay the non-refundable application fee of ₦7,000 through Remita.

The Academy issued a strict warning on payment guidelines. It stated that only RRR codes generated from the NDA application portal will be accepted.

Any payment made with codes sourced from third-party platforms, agents, or unofficial sites will be rejected. The NDA noted that it will not recognise any applicant who uses an externally generated RRR code.

The Registrar urged candidates to read all instructions carefully before submitting their forms.

He warned that failure to follow the payment and application rules may lead to invalidation or outright disqualification.

The Academy also reminded the public of a similar announcement made in August. At the time, the NDA disowned a fake list of successful and reserve candidates for the 2025 Armed Forces Selection Board that had circulated on social media.

The Academy stressed again that only results and updates published on its verified platforms should be trusted.
