Trump Mocks Keir Starmer Over Iran War Support

Share this:

United States President Donald Trump has mocked UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer over Britain’s stance on the ongoing Middle East conflict, during a private White House event.

Speaking at a lunch, Trump reportedly imitated Starmer in what he described as a weak voice, criticising the UK leader for not committing military support to efforts in the region.

The US president claimed he had asked the UK to deploy its aircraft carriers to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route disrupted by the conflict.

According to Trump, Starmer responded by saying he needed to consult his team before making any decision.

Trump expressed frustration at the delay, suggesting that by the time a decision is reached, the conflict could already be over.

The remarks were made during a closed-door event at the White House, though footage later surfaced online after being livestreamed and shared on social media.

The exchange adds to growing tensions between Washington and its allies, as disagreements persist over how to respond to the escalating crisis involving Iran and its impact on global energy routes.
