Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has announced a large-scale free music concert set to take place in Osogbo on Friday, April 24, 2026, as part of activities ahead of the state’s upcoming political season.
The event is expected to feature several well-known Nigerian entertainers, including his son, singer B-Red, alongside other established and emerging artists from across the country.
According to the governor’s announcement shared on X, the concert is designed as a public entertainment gathering aimed at uniting residents of the state through music and cultural performances.
Governor Adeleke described the initiative as a community-focused event, stating that it is intended to bring together people from different backgrounds and political affiliations in a relaxed and celebratory atmosphere.
A promotional lineup released alongside the announcement includes performances from several Nigerian acts such as Peruzzi, CDQ, Fido, Shina Peters, May D, Sinarambo, Peller, and Kolu Wahala, among others, combining both veteran and upcoming talents.
The governor also emphasized that the concert is open to all residents regardless of political party affiliation, stressing that it is not limited by political divides. He highlighted that the aim is to promote unity and entertainment within the state rather than political competition.
The announcement comes at a time of heightened political activity in Osun State, as attention builds ahead of the August 8, 2026 governorship election. It also follows the recent appointment of singer Davido, the governor’s nephew, as Head of Youth Mobilisation for the re-election campaign.
The upcoming concert is expected to attract large crowds, blending entertainment with public engagement in one of the state’s major pre-election cultural events.
