Blake Lively Seeks to Use Weight-Related Claims as Evidence in Court Battle with Justin Baldoni

Hollywood actress Blake Lively has intensified her legal battle against director Justin Baldoni, asking the court to allow certain disputed on-set comments about her weight to be presented before a jury in their upcoming trial.

According to court filings reported on Wednesday, Lively is opposing efforts by Baldoni’s legal team to exclude the material, arguing that it is relevant to the broader context of her claims. The case centres on alleged misconduct during the production of the film It Ends With Us.

Lively claims that during filming, Baldoni made inquiries about her weight through her personal trainer ahead of a scene where he was required to lift her. She argues that the conversation made her uncomfortable and forms part of a pattern of behaviour she believes contributed to a hostile working environment.

Her legal team maintains that the jury should be allowed to hear the full context surrounding the incident, insisting that it supports her broader allegation of retaliation and inappropriate conduct during production.

On the other hand, Baldoni has pushed back strongly against the claims, describing them as unrelated to the core issues of the lawsuit. His representatives argue that the alleged comments are being misinterpreted and should not be introduced in court, warning that they could unfairly influence jurors.

The dispute stems from reported tensions between both stars during the filming process, which eventually escalated into a formal legal confrontation. The trial is currently scheduled to begin in May, where both parties are expected to present evidence supporting their respective claims.

The case has attracted significant public attention due to the high-profile nature of both Hollywood figures and the serious allegations involved, with observers closely watching how the court handles the admissibility of the disputed evidence.
