APC don suspend Minister of State for Petroleum Resources

Di party wey dey rule, di All Progressives Congress (APC), don fo October 11, 2024, suspend di Minister of State for Petroleum Resources from Bayelsa State, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri.
Dem say him dey involve in anti-party activities, and dat one no good for party interest.
According tori for Punch News on di October 11, Southern Ijaw and Ekeremor LGAs of Bayelsa state APC chapter bi di ones wey suspend am, alongside some odas like Chief David Lyon, wey be 2019 governorship candidate, and oda party members.
Dey say dem take dis decision based on report from disciplinary committee, wey dem set up according to Article 21.3 (i) of party constitution, 2022, as amended.
Dem say dem go review oda cases of anti-party activities and take action against anyone wey dem find guilty.
Dem say Mr. Lokpobiri and Mr. Lyon no dey follow party rules, and dem go against APC for some elections wey happen before.
For example, during di 2023 National Assembly elections and gubernatorial election, dem allegedly support di Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, instead of APC.
Dem suspend some big men and women for Bayelsa State APC because of bad behavior.
Dat decision come from party leadership wey review di matter for Bayelsa State.
Dem do di review well well, and dat’s why dem suspend dem.
APC leadership for Bayelsa State say dem no just wake up and suspend dem; dem follow di right process, do di review, and den take di decision.
APC Chairman for Ekeremor Local Government Area, Mr. Mitin Eniekenemi Senator, yarn say Mr. Lokpobiri dey lead factions and collaborate with PDP, di opposition party, after him lose di APC governorship ticket for 2019.

Lokpobiri na former Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development.

APC suspend Lokpobiri and some oda big men and women, including Commissioner for Power, Commissioner for Lands and Survey, and former APC state chairman.
Dem say dem go review oda cases of anti-party activities and take action against anyone wey dem find guilty.
Dem accuse Heineken Lokpobiri and him supporters say dem actively support Bayelsa Governor Mr. Douye Diri and di PDP for di 2023 election, and dem get appointments and contracts as reward.
Lokpobiri, wey be former Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, and Senator for Bayelsa West from 2007 to 2015, allegedly join hands with PDP, di opposition party, after im lose di APC governorship ticket for 2019.
Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, nominate him personal aide, Engr. Kharim Kumoko, and him get appointed as di current Commissioner for Power for Bayelsa State.
Dis one no surprise, as Lokpobiri and him supporters don dey accused of anti-party activities since 2020.
Ebikazi Gbefa, APC Chairman for Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, yarn say some stakeholders and dia supporters openly sabotage APC’s National Assembly candidates.
And dem also work for Governor Douye Diri and di Pipo PDP during di 2023 governorship election for Bayelsa State.
Dem accuse dem of anti-party activities since 2020, and dem say dem no fit tolerate am again.
