FAAN Engages International Airlines Over Airport Operations And Passenger Services

ABUJA, NIGERIA – The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has held a strategic engagement with members of the International Airlines Association of Nigeria to review airport operations and improve service delivery across the country’s aviation hubs.

The meeting focused on strengthening protocol services, enhancing operational efficiency, and improving the overall passenger experience at Nigerian airports.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria said the engagement forms part of ongoing reforms aimed at modernising airport infrastructure management and ensuring smoother coordination between airport operators and international carriers.

Representatives of the International Airlines Association of Nigeria also participated in the discussions, where both sides examined key operational challenges affecting airport services, including passenger processing, baggage handling, security coordination, and protocol arrangements.

Stakeholders Push For Improved Passenger Experience

During the meeting, airline operators reportedly highlighted the need for more seamless coordination at arrival and departure terminals, stressing that efficient airport operations are critical to maintaining global aviation standards.

They also called for improved communication between airport authorities and airlines to reduce delays and enhance passenger satisfaction.

FAAN officials, in response, assured stakeholders of the agency’s commitment to addressing operational bottlenecks and implementing reforms that would make Nigerian airports more competitive and passenger-friendly.
