Lagos 2027: GRV Emerges ADC Guber Candidate

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) has emerged as the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) after winning the party’s primary election.

Rhodes-Vivour defeated his closest challenger, Silas, polling 12,948 votes against 6,183 votes in the exercise.

The primary, which attracted party stakeholders and supporters from across the state, was described by observers as peaceful and transparent.

Speaking after the announcement of the results, Rhodes-Vivour thanked party members and supporters for their confidence and support.

“I want to sincerely thank every supporter who rallied around this movement and came out en masse to vote. This victory belongs to all of us who believe in a better future,” he said.

The ADC candidate said his emergence marked the beginning of a broader political movement aimed at delivering better governance and accountable leadership.

“The work has only just begun. Together, we will continue to build a movement that represents hope, progress and accountable leadership for our people,” Rhodes-Vivour added.

He urged party members and residents to remain united ahead of the 2027 governorship election, stressing the need for collective effort in pursuing political and developmental goals.

His victory positions him as the ADC’s flagbearer as preparations intensify for the forthcoming governorship contest.
