The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has weighed in on ongoing debates surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s handling of insecurity in Nigeria.

Speaking on the issue, Adeboye dismissed criticisms suggesting that the president has not done enough, emphasizing the limits of presidential responsibility in direct security operations.

“I don’t support those who are saying Tinubu has not done enough. You don’t expect him to go and put on khaki,” he said.

His remarks highlight the view that while leadership is responsible for setting direction and policies, operational execution lies with security agencies.

The statement comes amid continued national concern over insecurity, with Nigerians expressing varying opinions on the government’s response and effectiveness.

Adeboye’s comments have since sparked mixed reactions, with supporters agreeing that governance involves delegation, while critics insist that leadership must still be held accountable for results.

As conversations continue, the remarks add to the broader national discourse on security, leadership, and expectations from those in power.
