The Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM) is a leading voice in the fight for justice, equality, and democratic values across Nigeria and beyond. At COPDEM, we are committed to safeguarding the principles of democracy by advocating for good governance, upholding human rights, and promoting transparency in public administration. Our mission is rooted in empowering citizens to take an active role in the democratic process and ensuring accountability from leaders at all levels.

In a world increasingly challenged by undemocratic practices and threats to freedom, COPDEM stands as a beacon of hope. Our coalition comprises individuals from diverse backgrounds—activists, policymakers, youth leaders, and concerned citizens—all united by a shared vision to protect democracy and foster sustainable development.

We believe that democracy thrives when citizens are informed, engaged, and proactive in shaping their future. To this end, COPDEM serves as a platform for dialogue, education, and collective action. From hosting public forums to championing grassroots campaigns, we aim to inspire positive change and create a society where every voice is heard, and every right is protected.
