Kidnappers kill female banker after receiving 25m Naira ransom

The lifeless body of Ifeoma Onyekwelu, a bank manager at Polaris Bank, has been recovered by the police in Anambra State. Onyekwelu was abducted by unknown persons earlier in the week, and her body was found at a refuse dump in the state.

According to reports, Onyekwelu was a dedicated and well-respected banker who was recently promoted to the position of bank manager.

Diaspora Digital Media gathered that the sum of 25 million Naira was paid to the abductors to secure her safe release.

The police have confirmed that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding Onyekwelu’s abduction and murder.

The Anambra State Police Command has promised to leave no stone unturned in their quest to unravel the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

Onyekwelu’s family and colleagues have been left to mourn her tragic death, with many taking to social media to pay tribute to her memory.

Her customers and admirers have described her as a jovial and compassionate person who always put the needs of others before her own.

The police are urging anyone with information about Onyekwelu’s abduction and murder to come forward and assist with the investigation.

In a statement, the Anambra State Police Command said: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of Ifeoma Onyekwelu, and we are committed to ensuring that justice is served. We urge anyone with information about her abduction and murder to come forward and assist with the investigation.”
