Awka monarch praises Governor Soludo for development efforts

The Traditional Ruler of Awka, Obi Gibson Nwosu, has commended the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, for his remarkable development initiatives, particularly in Awka.

These projects include the construction of inter and intra-city roads, the establishment of a new Government House, and the Solution Fun City, which have significantly transformed the capital city.

During a press conference with Diaspora digital media (DDM) held at his palace in Awka, Obi Nwosu, represented by his traditional Prime Minister, Chief Benjamin Okoye, expressed deep appreciation for the Governor’s efforts in revitalizing the state’s infrastructure and improving the capital’s status.

The event was attended by key stakeholders, including kingmakers, Ndi Ozo, youth leaders, and chairmen from the 33 villages that make up Awka.

The monarch lauded Professor Soludo for his commitment to restoring the dignity of traditional institutions in Anambra State.

He specifically highlighted the inclusion of Awka indigenes in key appointments within the administration, describing it as a demonstration of the Governor’s respect for the community’s contributions to the state.

Obi Gibson Nwosu also extended his gratitude to notable sons of Awka for their unflinching support of the Governor’s vision.

He mentioned personalities such as Senator Ben Ndi Obi, Chief Clem Nwogbo, Professor A.U. Nnoyelu, and renowned business mogul Engineer Arthur Eze, emphasizing their roles in advancing the community’s development.

Reassuring Governor Soludo of the throne’s unwavering support, the Awka traditional ruler called for continued collaboration between the government and the community to sustain the progress achieved so far.

He described the Governor’s initiatives as monumental steps that have redefined Awka’s image and reinforced its position as a capital city worthy of pride.

The monarch further urged other stakeholders within the state

“Emulate Governor Soludo’s developmental approach,  he said

“Prioritizes inclusivity and cultural preservation.

“The Governor’s policies not only benefit Awka but also serve as a template for holistic state development.

“Awka, as the capital of Anambra State, is witnessing a new era of growth and transformation under Governor Soludo, the monarch noted.

“The ongoing projects will continue to attract investments, boost the local economy, and enhance the overall quality of life for the people of Awka.” he stated.
