Imo Govt approves #1.5billion for road construction in Imo

The Imo State government has been actively working on road construction projects, and approved ₦1.5 billion for road rehabilitations.
In February 2022, the Imo State government approved ₦1 billion for primary healthcare and the construction of 135 kilometers of rural roads, with plans to construct 5 kilometers of roads in each of the 27 local government areas.
Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration has been working on various infrastructure projects, including roads, which are expected to be commissioned by President Bola Tinubu in August 2025.
The governor has expressed confidence that the projects will be completed on time, despite concerns about the rainy season.
The Imo State government has concluded plans for another massive road construction project to boost economic activities and reduce suffering for road users.
The state Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu, announced this in October 2024.
Some of the notable projects being undertaken by the Imo State government include; Imo Land Information Service Centre, A digital platform designed to modernize land administration, reduce land disputes, and foster investor confidence.
Various road construction projects aimed at improving the state’s transportation network and economic activities.
The government has also been working on projects like the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Center and the Concorde Hilton Hotel, which are part of the state’s efforts to boost tourism and investment.
These projects are expected to have a positive impact on the state’s economy and infrastructure, and their completion is eagerly anticipated by residents and stakeholders.
