Governor Hope Uzodinma delivered his State of the State Address to Imo citizens on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Imo State House of Assembly Complex in Owerri.

The event was attended by various stakeholders, including political office holders, traditional rulers, and leaders of professional bodies.

Governor Uzodinma highlighted his administration’s efforts to address insecurity in the state.

The governor mentioned various infrastructure projects, including road construction and rehabilitation, aimed at improving the state’s transportation network and boosting economic activities.

Uzodinma discussed his administration’s achievements in economic revitalization and public sector reforms, which have contributed to the state’s progress.

The governor’s administration has implemented youth empowerment programs, which were acknowledged by the APC Youths wing in the state.

The APC Youths wing in Imo State praised Governor Uzodinma’s leadership, describing his address as inspiring, substantive, and timely.

They commended his landmark achievements in infrastructure, health, education, security, and youth empowerment.

Imo NURTW Boss and Commissioner for Lands, Ambassador Jeff Eze and Sir Enyinna Onuegbu applauded Governor Uzodinma’s visionary leadership and developmental impact.

They also praised members of the Imo State House of Assembly for backing Uzodinma and endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

Governor Uzodinma has been working to address insecurity in Imo State, hinting at ongoing talks with secessionist leaders to find solutions.

He expressed confidence in winning the fight against insecurity, stating, “We will stamp out insecurity” during a rally in Owerri zone.

Uzodinma began his re-election campaign tour with a grand rally in Owerri Federal Constituency, receiving a warm welcome from supporters.

He recounted the state’s dire need for human and infrastructural rehabilitation when he assumed office and highlighted his administration’s achievements.

These projects aim to improve infrastructure and boost economic activities in the state.

Uzodinma received overwhelming support from Owerri zone constituents, with women and youths endorsing his second term bid.

His commitment to transforming Imo State has solidified his position as a leader dedicated to the region’s upliftment.

Despite facing challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, security issues, and administrative hurdles, Governor Uzodinma’s administration has delivered substantial accomplishments, particularly in addressing flooding in the state capital and improving infrastructure.
