PHOTOS: Soludo presents scorecard to Anambra indigenes in U.S

The governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, held a serious engagement with Anambra indigenes residing in the United States, reflecting on his administration’s transformational three years in office, and outlined the future plans for the State.

The event, according to a statement issued by his spokesman, Christian Aburime, took place at the Metro Point Hotel in New Carrollton, Maryland, and was attended by members of the Anambra diaspora from across the U.S. and North America

Accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Governor Soludo provided an open and honest assessment of his administration, highlighting key achievements while also acknowledging ongoing challenges.

He stressed the principles of transparency, participatory governance, and sustainable development as cornerstones of his leadership approach.

Soludo detailed notable advancements in various sectors, including infrastructure development, education reforms, health services, economic empowerment, and security enhancements, encouraged feedback from the attendees and urged the diaspora to leverage their expertise and resources in support of Anambra’s growth.

“Anambra belongs to all of us, and our progress depends on the collective efforts of our people, at home and abroad,” Soludo stated, pointing out the vital role that the diaspora plays in the state’s continued development. He called for increased collaboration, investment, and knowledge transfer from Anambra’s expatriates.

Projecting towards the future, the Governor shared strategic priorities for the next phase of his administration, emphasizing the need for ongoing partnerships with Ndi Anambra worldwide.

He reaffirmed his vision for a prosperous Anambra built on the principles of unity, innovation, and shared responsibility.

The event also featured remarks from Ambassador Samson Itegboje, Nigeria’s Charge d’Affaires in Washington, D.C., affirming the importance of diaspora contributions to national development.

The Governor also received massive commendations from the audience for his visible stellar performance so far while also pledging their continuous support for his government

Question and answer session on Governor Soludo’s administration’s strides and challenges also featured at the event.

The event ended with Anambrarians expressing satisfaction with Soludo’s solid achievements within three years.
