Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that the meeting is scheduled to hold on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. prompt. The venue is Sunshine Hotel & Guest House, located at #8/9 Ebeano Estate, near the Airtel Office by Otigba Junction, Enugu.

According to the official notice, the meeting is directed at the following categories of party members:

  1. Members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and Zonal Working Committee (ZWC) from the South East
  2. State Working Committee (SWC) members across South East states
  3. All 2023 general election candidates of the ADC in the region
  4. State-nominated party leaders and chieftains within the South East zone

In the statement jointly signed by Chilos Godsent, the National Vice Chairman (South East), and ThankGod Ofoelue, the Zonal Publicity Secretary, the party emphasized that attendance is mandatory for all invited individuals.

While the agenda of the meeting remains undisclosed, the notice stated that it will be unveiled on the floor of the meeting.

The timing of the emergency meeting has attracted attention in political circles, particularly as the ADC intensifies efforts to reorganize and reassert itself in the South East geopolitical zone ahead of upcoming elections.

Party insiders suggest that discussions may include strategic realignment, post-election evaluations, and structural reforms aimed at repositioning the party’s influence in the region.

Some political observers also speculate that issues such as internal party cohesion, inter-party alliances, and grassroots mobilization for the forthcoming local government elections might feature prominently in the session.

In recent months, the ADC has taken steps to rebrand and gain stronger regional influence, especially in states such as Enugu, Abia, and Anambra, where increasing demand for alternative political representation continues to grow.

The South East remains a competitive battleground for political dominance, and the ADC appears poised to leverage growing dissatisfaction with the mainstream political parties.

Party loyalists and analysts now await the outcome of what many view as a high-stakes zonal meeting, potentially shaping the party’s strategy and relevance ahead of 2027.
