2027: North-East Youths Endorse Tinubu/Shettima Ticket

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Parliament in the North East has issued a strong warning to party leaders: do not tamper with the 2027 Tinubu-Shettima ticket.

During a heated town hall meeting in Bauchi, the youth group declared that removing Vice President Kashim Shettima from President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election team would spell disaster.

Speaking at the event, the group’s chairman, Kabiru Garba Kobi, made their position clear.

He warned that any attempt to replace Shettima would spark resentment among Northern youths.

According to him, such a move could haunt the party long after the election.

“We want to state it unequivocally: altering the Tinubu-Shettima ticket will trigger a backlash. That discontent may linger far beyond the 2027 elections and damage the APC’s success,” Kobi said.

He added that the APC must learn from the past.

“The ghost of PDP’s past political missteps still haunts them today. History punishes those who ignore its lessons,” he stated.

The youth group reaffirmed their loyalty to President Tinubu.

They praised him for making bold decisions to rescue Nigeria from economic instability, corruption, and weak governance.

“We admire his courage in facing economic realities.

Though painful now, his reforms are essential for long-term growth. Tinubu has shown he is ready to rebuild the country,” Kobi noted.

They also emphasized their trust in the leadership of both Tinubu and Shettima.

According to them, the duo represents a tested and trusted partnership that can lead Nigeria forward.

The youths concluded by endorsing the Tinubu-Shettima ticket for 2027.

“We will continue to promote this ticket. It has proven its strength. Shettima’s removal would only fracture our unity,” the statement read.
