An Edo State resident has criticised Governor Monday Okpebholo over the condition of roads in the state, while comparing his administration with that of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The resident made the remarks while reacting to comments reportedly made by Okpebholo during the ongoing political activities surrounding the Osun State governorship election.
According to the resident, Okpebholo should focus more attention on issues affecting Edo State instead of travelling to Osun State to engage in political discussions.
“Gov Adeleke is 100 percent better than Gov Okpebholo of Edo State,” the resident said.
The resident also addressed Davido, apologising on behalf of Edo residents while expressing frustration over what he described as the governor’s decision to focus on Osun politics.
“Davido, we are sorry. Our governor left Edo State and went to Osun State to start saying rubbish,” the resident added.
He went on to complain about the condition of roads across Edo State, arguing that the governor should prioritise infrastructure and other challenges facing residents.
“See the condition of Edo State roads and our governor is not doing anything about it, but he can go to Osun State and be saying nonsense,” he said.
The comments have generated reactions online, particularly among Nigerians following the political exchanges surrounding the Osun election.
While the resident’s comparison between Adeleke and Okpebholo reflects his personal opinion, the remarks highlight broader concerns about governance, road infrastructure and whether political leaders should focus on issues within their own states.
