Arrest of Suspect with Severed Human Breast
On Saturday, July 6, 2025, a 25-year-old man named Samuel Eze was apprehended during routine patrols.
A joint security team, comprising officers from the Awada Police Station and local vigilantes, made the arrest along Jude Onyekwere Street in Awada, Obosi.
Consequently, Eze was discovered with a severed human breast, which has raised significant public concern.
Furthermore, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, confirmed the recovery of the body part.
The authorities preserved the severed breast at a morgue for further examination.
Meanwhile, Eze is currently undergoing interrogation as investigations into this disturbing incident continue.
Authorities have assured the public that the suspect will face prosecution upon the conclusion of the inquiry.
Rescue of Kidnapped Truck Driver and Recovery of Goods
On July 4, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers from the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) executed a successful rescue operation.
They acted on actionable intelligence, rescuing a kidnapped truck driver and recovering goods valued at ₦9.5 million.
Furthermore, the truck, loaded with custard powder, had been diverted from its original delivery route to Asaba, Delta State.
During the operation, officers detained three male suspects: Udegenyi Ugochukwu (38), Anayochukwu Okonkwo (47), and Good Odigili (47).
Moreover, police investigations revealed that the suspects had tied up the driver in a bush, then rerouted the truck to Enugwu Ukwu, Anambra State.
This swift action underscores the effectiveness of the RRS in tackling such criminal activities.
Fortunately, the driver was rescued unharmed, and the police successfully recovered both the truck and its cargo.
The suspects were taken into custody, and the operation highlights the importance of intelligence-led policing.
Recovery of Abandoned Toyota Sienna Vehicle
On July 5, 2025, operatives from the Obosi Division conducted a routine patrol along the Okpuno–Umuota village road.
During this operation, they recovered a suspected stolen and abandoned Toyota Sienna vehicle.
The custom-colored car, bearing registration number 736 JP and marked with “Forum of Accountants Delta State,” was found abandoned and now remains in police custody.
The Command has officially urged individuals or organizations claiming ownership to provide valid proof of ownership.
This step is necessary for verification purposes and to facilitate the possible release of the vehicle.
This measure is aimed at ensuring transparency in handling recovered property.

Joint surveillance and patrol operations involving multiple security agencies — including the Police, Military, Civil Defence, Immigration, DSS, and Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) — are ongoing in various communities.
These collaborative efforts are part of a broader strategy to curb criminal activities and enhance public safety.
Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies.
