BREAKING: Opposition party chairman released on bail after presidential candidate’s dig at Nigerian Police

Labour Party, LP, one of Nigeria’s influential opposition parties, got a reprieve after its chairman, Julius Abure, was released in the early morning of today.
But it wasn’t until Peter Obi, leading opposition figure and presidential candidate of the party took a deserved swipe at the manner of Abure’s arrest, yesterday in Benin, Edo, Southern Nigerian state where an off season governorship election will hold later this year.
Reasons for the party chairman’s arrest are rather unclear and is subject DDM’s investigations currently.
But the police officially says that Abure was forcefully plucked off his hotel accommodation on allegation’s of attempted murder.
There were other versions, though, hinting at financial impropriety and forgery.
