BREAKING: Supreme Court upholds Wike’s ally, Anyanwu, as PDP National Secretary

The Supreme Court has just declared Chief Samuel Anyanwu, an ally of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike as the authentic National Secretary of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Supreme Court set aside the verdict of the Appeal Court in Enugu, which had ruled against Anyanwu.

The Appeal Court had recognized Sunday Udey-Okoye as National Secretary of the party which ruled Nigeria from 1999 to 2015.

In its ruling, the court concurred with Anyanwu’s argument that both the Court of Appeal and the trial court in Enugu lacked the authority to hear the case, as it involved the internal affairs of the PDP.
