Burna Boy sets record for highest-grossing tour by African artist

Grammy-winning singer, Burna Boy has made history by achieving the highest-grossing tour by an African artiste.

His ‘I Told Them‘ tour has grossed an impressive $15.5 million from 15 shows, with six more concerts still to be accounted for.

This feat has been confirmed by the American tour statistics company, Touring Data on X.

He has also set a new record for the highest-grossing arena concert by an African artist in the United States, earning $1.725 million at the Capital One Arena in Washington on March 7, 2024.

This surpasses his previous record at the TD Garden in Boston.

Burna Boy’s concert at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on March 12th also became the most expensive concert by an African artiste in history, with an average ticket price of $172.76.

His Canadian tour also grossed an impressive $5.7 million from just six shows, the highest for any African artiste.
