Chelsea FC in Advanced Talks to Sign Victor Osimhen on Loan

Chelsea FC is reportedly in advanced discussions to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen on a season-long loan from Napoli, with an option to buy.

According to renowned football journalist David Ornstein, the deal is part of a larger negotiation that would see Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku join Napoli.

Osimhen, 24, has been in impressive form for Napoli since joining the Italian club in 2020, scoring 43 goals in 79 appearances.

His pace, power, and clinical finishing have made him one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe.

The loan deal would provide Chelsea with a much-needed attacking boost, following a disappointing start to the season.

The Blues have struggled to find consistency upfront, and Osimhen’s arrival could be the catalyst for a resurgence in form.

Meanwhile, Lukaku’s potential move to Napoli would mark a return to Italy for the Belgian striker, who previously played for Inter Milan. The 30-year-old has struggled to replicate his form at Chelsea since rejoining the club last season.

The negotiations between Chelsea and Napoli are ongoing, with both clubs working towards a mutually beneficial agreement.

If successful, the deal would be a significant coup for Chelsea, who have been actively seeking a top-class striker to lead their attack.
