Beijing, China – China has launched a scathing attack on the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Accusing the military alliance of bringing war and disaster to various regions around the world.

In a strongly-worded statement, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Zhao Lijian, said that NATO’s interventions in various countries had led to devastating consequences for the local populations.

“From Ukraine to Afghanistan, from Iraq to Libya, NATO has brought war and disaster to these regions.

“And their people,” Zhao said. “The alliance’s actions have resulted in the loss of countless lives.

“The displacement of millions of people, and the destruction of entire cities and communities.”

Zhao’s comments come amid growing tensions between China and NATO. With Beijing increasingly critical of the alliance’s expansion into the Asia-Pacific region.
