DDM holds telethon on 1st anniversary of Nigeria’s 2023 Presidential Poll

International media organization, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), is on the verge of commencing its virtual telethon to mark the first anniversary of the February 25th, 2023 presidential election in Nigeria.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared as winner of the poll by the umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The telethon starts at 12:00 noon (Nigerian Time) on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

The organization has assembled an array of resource persons from diverse professional backgrounds to review the election, the country’s electoral process, as well as proffer remedies to perceived shortfalls.

The event begins with a one hour discourse entitled ‘The Candidates’, anchored by DDM’s Kevin Jakpor.

The discourse seeks to x-ray the candidates that contested the poll.

The guest, Eze Eluchie Esq., is a legal luminary of no mean repute.

He is the president, African Center for Health Law and Development, Georgetown University Law Center, USA.

He is also the principal consultant, Eze Eluchie and Associates law firm.

Next session’s discourse on ‘INEC, Election Rigging and Technical Hitch’, will have Veteran Che and Great Imo Jonathan, as guests.

DDM’s Rwang Pam Jnr will be the host.

‘Vote Buying and Election Violence’ shall be dissected Dr Onyeka Obiaraeri, Comrade Osagie Isaac Emmanuel and Emeka Aneke, with Kaneng R. Pam serving as anchor.

Emmanuel Ogede Esq and Obum UK will take up the topic, The Judiciary, a Defector Electoral Umpire.

DDM’s Daniel Elombah is the anchor for that session which promises to be an eye opener.

DDM’s Tim Elombah will serve as anchor as Dr Tanko Yunusa and Bolaji Yunusa dissects the topic, Obedient Movement versus Emi Lokan & Agbado Politics.

Buhari, Yakubu and the Masses, anchored by Ernest Njoku comes up next, with Paul Ejime and Salvation Aliboh as guests.

Mazi H. T. M. Okoye will anchor video competition presentations from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, and declaration of Winners/ presentation of prizes to winners follow shortly after.

DDM has been inundated with requests from interested professionals to serve as resource persons during the telethon.

The organization has so far confirmed that Evang Benok Nwanji, Chairman, Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM), Delta State; Lucy Idibo Howells, COPDEM Chairperson, Bayelsa State; Paul Isaac Audu, COPDEM Chairman, Nassarawa State; Comrade Chidi Nzekwe, COPDEM Chairman, Anambra State; and Ikechukwu Onyia, based in Newcastle, UK, shall be part of the telethon as discussants.

Other volunteer discussants are: Madaki Shuaibu Inuwa, COPDEM State Chairman, Niger State; Dr Danjuma Sale, COPDEM State Chairman, Kaduna State; Zanna Ali Haruna, COPDEM Chairman, Yobe State; Prince Ridhwan Hamza, COPDEM Chairman, Zamfara State; Hon Ajayi Balogun, COPDEM Chairman, Ekiti State; Dr. Ugochukwu Nweke in the United Kingdom; Dr. Anongu Moses, COPDEM Chairman, Benue State.
