A renowned Nigerian singer and producer, Michael Collins Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy has opened up and expressed his sadness about not being able to take part in the ongoing social media suspect challenge, stating “it hurts not having a partner.”

According to the Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), Don Jazzy took to his Instagram page on November 18, to upload a post with the caption “Suspect wants to do a suspect challenge but no suspect partner, it hurts. Okay goodnight.”

“Be like say suspect go suspend suspect challenge na. Unto suspect full ground. Na a na you go dey find Rihanna,” another fan commented.

Interestingly, the renowned award-winning producer was previously married to Michelle Jackson.

Don Jazzy during an interview in April 2021, shared that he tied the knot at 20, but the marriage ended in divorce just two years later.

In his X post, Don Jazzy revealed his brief marriage to American model Michelle Jackson, citing his music commitment as the reason for their separation.

Responding to a fan’s question about his marital status, he answered “I’m currently focusing on self-improvement, so when I’m fully ready, my partner will truly enjoy being with me.”

Don Jazzy started his music career as a producer in 2002. He co-founded Mo’ Hits Records with D’banj, signing artists like Wande Coal, Dr. Sid, and D’Prince. 

After Mo’ Hits dissolved, he founded Mavin Records in 2012, signing Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, and Korede Bello, among others.

The music star has produced hits like “Booty Call” and “Fall in Love” for D’banj, collaborated with international artists like Jay-Z and Kanye West, won multiple awards, including Producer of the Year at the 2007 Nigerian Music Awards, and his Record Label, Mavin Records was named Best Record Label at the 2013 Headies.
