Edo government shuts down Ambrose Alli University satellite campuses, moves all activities to Ekpoma

The Edo State Government has ordered the immediate closure of all satellite campuses of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, directing that all academic activities be conducted solely at the main campus in Ekpoma.
Diaspora digital media (DDM) reviled that this decision, was announced in an official statement on February 11, 2025, issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor.
The statement emphasized that no programs or courses should take place outside the university’s main campus in Ekpoma.
Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration made this move as part of efforts to enhance educational quality at the institution.
