Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk’s involvement in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has raised eyebrows, yet despite the growing attention, Musk is not personally benefiting from his role, according to U.S. President Donald Trump.

Speaking in an interview. Diaspora digital media (DDM) reports that, Trump addressed the public’s concerns about Musk’s motivations, stating that Musk is not profiting from his leadership of the informal and unrecognized government initiative.

When asked about his trust in Musk, the CEO of X (formerly Twitter), Trump quickly clarified that Musk’s focus on DOGE is not financially motivated.

“He’s not gaining anything,” Trump remarked, emphasizing that Musk’s work in streamlining government operations is purely driven by a desire to cut down waste and inefficiencies.

Trump further teased that he would advise Musk to check the Department of Education next, before moving on to the U.S. military.

“We’re going to find billions, hundreds of billions, of dollars of fraud and abuse,” Trump added, underscoring his belief that DOGE could uncover massive financial waste across the federal government.

Trump has been a vocal supporter of DOGE, seeing it as an essential tool for reducing the financial burden on U.S. taxpayers.

Musk, who has garnered both praise and criticism for his ventures, continues to play a prominent role in advancing the project’s goals.

According to Trump, Musk’s influence has already begun making a noticeable impact on federal agencies, with DOGE’s operations expanding significantly.

The President highlighted the mission to minimize bureaucratic waste and optimize government spending as central to DOGE’s broader objectives.

One of the most significant changes attributed to DOGE’s efforts has been at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

In response to the initiative, the agency, which once employed over 10,000 individuals globally, has undergone drastic downsizing.

Only about 600 employees remain in active service, marking a substantial reduction in personnel.

Trump has framed this downsizing as a necessary step to address inefficiencies within government institutions and reduce unnecessary spending.

Musk’s push for transparency and financial responsibility has directly influenced these reforms.

The focus of DOGE remains on identifying areas where fraud, misuse of funds, and inefficiencies exist within various U.S. government departments.

Musk’s leadership is seen as key in this ongoing effort, with the goal of uncovering hidden financial waste and driving accountability at all levels.

The attention surrounding DOGE has only intensified as the initiative progresses, with both Musk and Trump positioning it as a bold move to tackle the often criticized excesses of the federal government.

As Musk continues to spearhead the project, all eyes will be on how DOGE’s work reshapes the U.S. government’s approach to fiscal responsibility.
