Eyeing Barca Job? Mikel Arteta Informs Entourage He Will Leave Arsenal This Season

The bench industry is being transformed. Initially, it was Klopp who declared his departure from Liverpool at the end of the current campaign. A few hours later, Xavi essentially followed suit by declaring that he will be leaving his position as Barça coach on June 30. Apart from the formal declarations, a few days prior, an additional coach of culé background cautioned folks in his vicinity that he was contemplating ending his tenure at Arsenal.

Although Arteta’s contract is set to expire in 2025, the coach appears to be feeling the effects of aging and the conflicts that have arisen in recent seasons.

Because of his positive relationship with the London club’s ownership, he might reach an agreement on a potential amicable departure at the end of the season. Mikel has already informed his group of friends of this, but for the time being, utmost discretion is needed while we wait to see how the competition plays out in the latter stages.

The announcement of Arteta’s potential release corresponds with Xavi’s farewell. Just random events because, as SPORT has confirmed, no one from Barça has gotten in touch with the coach or his representatives to far. It is well known, though, that Laporta has always thought highly of Arteta and has frequently stated that the player has the perfect profile to be a reserve for the Barça first team.

With three titles, good bye?
Being Arsenal’s manager has not been easy for Arteta. Three major championships—the FA Cup in 2019–20 and the two Community Shields in 2020 and 2023—have been won by a side that is currently competing in the Premier League and qualifying for the Champions League. He was under pressure and had worn down to the point where he was considering his future and the necessity of facing a change of scenery or perhaps taking a nap.

According to every survey conducted in the previous several hours, Barça supporters are open to the idea of Mikel Arteta taking Xavi’s place for the 2024–25 campaign. The coach’s contractual release from Arsenal, the first required step, might soon happen. It is now up to Joan Laporta and his sports management to decide on the final name of the individual chosen to replace Xavi Hernández, who gave difficult relief.
