Fortunately, no lives were lost despite the widespread destruction. Immediately, firefighters, security personnel, and camp residents worked together to contain the fire. Furthermore, the Monguno Division deployed a patrol team to maintain order and prevent looting during the emergency.

The IDP camp, which houses people displaced by regional conflict, now struggles to provide urgent relief and temporary housing for victims. As a result, local authorities and humanitarian agencies are expected to assess the damage and organize aid for affected families.

Currently, investigations continue to determine the fire’s origin and evaluate the full scale of the destruction. Meanwhile, displaced residents await support to rebuild their lives after this tragic incident. The community remains hopeful as aid organizations prepare to intervene and restore stability to the camp.

In the aftermath, survivors recount their losses while expressing gratitude for the swift response from emergency teams. Nevertheless, the road to recovery will require sustained efforts from both government and humanitarian partners. The incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by displaced communities in conflict-affected regions.
