Governor Radda Honored as Iconic Personality of the Year

The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, was bestowed with the Iconic Personality of the Year award at the eleventh edition of the Democracy Heroes Award. The prestigious event unfolded at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, recognizing Governor Radda’s outstanding accomplishments within the initial 100 days of his tenure.

This distinguished award underscores the Governor’s remarkable contributions and resonates as a manifestation of the people’s faith and admiration. Governor Radda emerged as the preferred choice through a transparent online voting process, securing an impressive 32 percent of the total votes cast, totaling 2,671 votes. This resounding victory surpassed his closest rival, Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State, who garnered 2,168 votes. Following closely were Dr. Alex Otti of Abia State with 1,145 votes, Governor Hycinth Alia of Benue with 791 votes, and Governor Umo Bassey Eno of Akwa Ibom with 742 votes.

The award serves as a testament to Governor Radda’s exemplary public service and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people he diligently serves. The ceremony saw the presence of distinguished guests, political figures, and community leaders, including the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arch. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa; Member House of Representatives of Rimi, Charanchi, Batagarawa, Arch Usman Banye; Member representing Matazu and Musawa Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Jabiru Tsauri; and members of the State Executive Council, among other esteemed government functionaries.
