Gunmen Abducts Senior Army Officer in Kaduna

A senior army officer Col Samaila Inusa has been reported to be kidnapped around Kamazo near NNPC junction, Kaduna. 

He is serving in Nigerian Army School of infantry, Jaji, Kaduna.

He was abducted at around 7:30pm on Saturday 26 March 2016.

The abduction was disclosed in a press release by Colonel Usman Abdul Deputy Director.

Colonel Abdul is the Army Public Relation One Division Nigerian Army Kaduna dated 27th March 2016 1DIV/APR?G1/300/91.

According to the statement, the abductors dropped off his wife and left with him in his car.

They then headed towards Abuja

The release said anybody with useful information or assistance should please assist in tracking the abductors. 

They drove in a Mercedes Benz GLK, Black color, with registration number Abuja, KUJ 154 TZ.

This is coming as Emmanuel Dziggau, a Church leader and the current head of the TEKAN/ECWA Church group was kidnapped along Kaduna-Abuja road.

The National leadership and the entire members of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) expressed shock and disbelief in the criminal and unwarranted kidnap of Dziggau.

Rev. Dr. Dziggau was kidnapped along with his vice chairman Rev. Iliya Anto and Rev. Yakubu Dzarma (rtd).  

They were kidnapped on 21st March, 2016 along Kaduna-Abuja road while going to supervise the construction of an Easter ground in preparation for the Easter retreat for his Church.

The news of the abduction of Dr Dziggau and his colleagues obviously came to us as a rude shock.

“As a minister of the gospel who has serve Humanity in various capacities preaching the message of love, peace and service to God and Humanity, it must be a thing of shock and surprise why he should be a target of the kidnappers’ weapon,” says CAN.

CAN registered its grief over this very sad development and also registered solidarity with the families of our abducted brothers.

The Army has promised to reward anyone with useful information about the whereabouts of Colonel Samaila Inusa.
