Doris Ogala, the African Action Congress (AAC) candidate for the Abia State governorship election, has expressed confidence in her chances of becoming the next governor of the state.
Ogala, who is backing her ambition with criticism of the state’s electricity situation, said she believes she is better qualified than her opponents and is confident that nothing can stop her from winning.
“I will be the next Governor of Abia State and nothing can stop me. I’m so sure of it because I’m better than all of them,” she said.
The AAC candidate also spoke about her experience in the state, claiming that she had spent about three months in Abia and had struggled with a lack of electricity during the period.
“I have been in Abia for three months now, no light. I sleep in my family house and we don’t have light,” Ogala added.
Her comments have drawn attention online, particularly her description of the electricity situation and her strong confidence ahead of the election.
The issue of reliable electricity remains a major concern for residents and businesses across many parts of Nigeria, with prolonged power interruptions often affecting households, commercial activities and small businesses.
Ogala’s declaration also comes as political activities continue to build ahead of the next Abia governorship contest, with aspirants and candidates expected to intensify their campaigns and present their plans for the state’s development.
While Ogala says she is confident of victory, the outcome of the election will ultimately be determined by voters at the polls.
