Austin Okoro DDM NEWS
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State chapter, has received with deep grief and a profound sense of loss the news of the sudden passing of Lolo Chioma Njoku, the wife of the esteemed politician, media entrepreneur, and Publisher of The Nigerian Horn Newspapers, Hon. (Chief) Bright Njoku.
The late Lolo Chioma was a supportive wife and a virtuous mother, whose grace and warmth endeared her to many.
She was a devoted christian, generous, friendly and married with six lovely and beautiful children.
In a Press release of February 6th 2025 by Lancelot Obiakor, the state publicity secretary of PDP,.
It stated that before her passing, she was a practising Journalist and the publisher of The Onion Newspapers, through which she made remarkable contributions to the media industry in the state and beyond.
Obiakor noted that the strong bond and partnership she built with her husband to set the pace in the media industry did not go unnoticed. She will be sorely missed.
“Imo PDP extends its deepest condolences to Hon. Njoku and the entire Njoku family of Umuneke in Isiala Mbano LGA over this great loss of their beloved wife and mother.
While praying for the peaceful repose of Lolo Chioma Njoku’s gentle soul, the party also prays that all who mourn her find the strength to bear this irreparable loss. Amen” the statement read.
It should be recalled that Chioma Bright Njoku as a Nigerian publisher was described by some media gurus as an accomplished individual, often compared to the late May Ellen Ezekiel, a renowned editor-in-chief and publisher.
Unfortunately, she has passed away, and her loss was deeply mourned by Journalists and others who knew her.
She would be remembered for her philanthropy, doggedness, empathy and great love for humanity.
May her soul rest in perfect peace and in the bosom of the Lord, Amen.
