The Nigerian Airforce in collaboration with other sister security agencies have launched a coordinated airstrikes designed to flush out Eastern Security Network (ESN) in Orlu, Imo state.

There have been serious unrest in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State after Nnamdi Kanu’s Eastern Security Network engaged in a fierce gun duel with the Nigerian military last month which resulted to the death of innocent civilians and destruction of properties worth millions of naira.

A source from the community who spoke with ElombahNews said that in the early hours of Thursday, the Nigerian military moved in with their jet fighters and other war equipments into the community in search of Eastern Security Network. The sudden invasion has however, compounded the deteriorating security situation in the entire local government, the source added.

The jet fighters deployed by the Nigerian military were captured in a video as it combs the entire forest in search of the Security outfit floated by the outlawed organization.

Recalled that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu had set up the security network late last year, adding that it will help to chase and curtail the excesses of terror herdsmen accused of kidnapping, rape and destruction of farm lands in the southeast region but this move has been condemned by many.

The leaders of region said IPOB is a proscribed movement and do not have the legal right to set up any security outfit.

Though, despite the subtle condemnation of the security network by the elected leaders of the region, the organisation has continued to operate with audaciousness.

Their brazen operation culminated to total eviction of terror herdsmen in Isuikwuato in Abia State and other volatile communities in the Southeast.
