Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has announced the death of his wife.
He shared the news on Saturday via his Instagram page, posting a photo of a candlelight alongside a short message that read, “Rest In Peace, My darling wife.”
In another emotional post featuring pictures of his late wife, he said farewell in Yoruba, writing, “Odaro oyinbo mi.”
The announcement comes months after Fayose revealed that his wife had been battling cancer. In a post earlier in March, he described her deteriorating condition, saying she had become very weak and required constant care.
He recounted how she could no longer perform daily activities and how he had to take on caregiving duties during her illness, including cooking for her and spending time by her bedside.
News of her passing has since drawn an outpouring of condolences from followers, friends, and celebrities, including actress Yvonne Jegede, comedian Ali Baba, and veteran musician Daddy Showkey.
