Kallas expresses disappointment over Trump’s accusations

In the aftermath of the altercation between President Trump of the US and President Zelensky of Ukraine on Friday, a top  EU diplomat has expressed her disappointment.

In a statement on Friday, the European Union’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, said that it is clear that the free world needs a new leader,

EU leaders also issued a joint statement Friday urging Zelensky to be strong.

In it they said,

“Your dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone, dear President Zelensky. We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace,” said the EU leaders – Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Council President António Costa and Parliament President Roberta Metsola.

According to CNN, one EU diplomat said they had never seen such a bombardment of accusations levelled against a leader of an invaded nation.
