Osborn Nweze Umahi, the son of the former Executive Governor of Ebonyi State and current Minister of Works, David Umahi, has recently inaugurated a lavish 5-star establishment, Osborn La Palm Resort, situated in Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State.

Despite self-proclaimed success in entrepreneurship, some members of the public question Osborn Umahi’s financial achievements, asserting that his prosperity might be linked to alleged access to public funds facilitated by his father’s governmental position.

Having completed his undergraduate studies in Engineering at the esteemed University of Surrey in 2019, Osborn Umahi furthered his education by pursuing a Master’s in Investment Management from Aberdeen University in 2022. During this period, he reportedly collaborated with his father, David Umahi, in the management of Brass Oil and Construction Limited.

The grand unveiling of Osborn La Palm Resort in Port Harcourt has drawn considerable attention, with notable Nigerian figures making it a preferred social destination. Among the prominent personalities who have graced the hotel include real estate billionaire and Chairman of Cubana Group Limited, Chief Dr. Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana); Chairman of Five Star Group Limited, Chief Emeka Okonkwo (E-Money); CEO of Corporate World Entertainment, Comedian Ayo Makun (AY); and renowned real estate magnate, Dr. Kennedy Okonkwo.

The success of Osborn Umahi’s venture into the hospitality industry, marked by the flourishing launch of Osborn La Palm Resort, positions him as a recognized entrepreneur in the field.
