*Says Anwukah indicted for fraud*

A non-governmental organisation, Transform Nigeria Citizens Initiative [TNCI] has petitioned the Senate not to approve the ministerial nomination of Professor Anthony Anwukah [pictured above].

Speaking though the attorney of the organisation, Osuagwu Ugochukwu Esq, TNCI asserted that “Anwukah is not a man of integrity”, hence unworthy of the honour.

According to an explosive report on Elombah.com on Wednesday, 14 October 2015, the ministerial nominee who hails from Imo State and an in-law to incumbent governor, Owelle rochas Okorocha, had earlier been indicted of fraud.

Professor Anwukah was the Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, Owerri [IMSU] wherein a government panel exposed massive corruption and fraudulent activities.

In the light of the anti-corruption mantra of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, TNCI thought it ridiculous that a man who had been indicted of corruption and fraud could be championing an anti-corruption crusade.
