Political affairs expert Ibrahim Modibbo has shed light on the extensive political engagements of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

He emphasized Atiku’s methodical and strategic approach to building relationships across Nigeria’s political spectrum.

During an interview on Arise TV, Diaspora digital media (DDM) revaild that Modibbo outlined Atiku’s pattern of high-level consultations with key political figures.

These interactions highlight his efforts to solidify his political network ahead of future developments.

Modibbo began by detailing Atiku’s regular interactions with various political leaders.

“Atiku is moving around, meeting former presidents,” he explained.

Modibbo highlighted that Atiku is reaching out to influential figures across the political landscape.

According to him, this constant political networking underscores Atiku’s drive to remain relevant and influential.

The political analyst also pointed out Atiku’s meetings with significant opposition figures.

Notable encounters include Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso.

These engagements, Modibbo suggested, reveal Atiku’s broad political strategy.

It signals his willingness to collaborate with political forces outside of his immediate circle.

“Even in the political class, you see him meeting with individuals from all parts of the spectrum,” Modibbo stated.

However, Modibbo pointed out a noticeable absence from this series of consultations.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not yet been met.

Despite Atiku’s engagements with several high-profile political figures, he has not met the sitting president.

“The only person he has not met so far is President Tinubu,” Modibbo remarked.

This observation has sparked speculation about future political moves.

Some wonder whether Atiku will eventually engage with Tinubu.

Reflecting on the possibility of such a meeting, Modibbo suggested it could be in the works.

“I’m sure maybe Atiku is considering meeting with President Tinubu soon,” Modibbo speculated.

He emphasized that such a meeting might be part of a larger strategy.

Atiku may aim to strengthen his political footing by bridging the divide between his camp and the current administration.

Modibbo’s comments point to a deeper understanding of Atiku’s political motivations.

“I know Atiku, and he has a passion and compassion for this country,” Modibbo affirmed.

He noted that the former vice president’s approach is rooted in a long-term vision for Nigeria’s political future.

This analysis of Atiku Abubakar’s political engagements provides crucial insight into his approach to navigating Nigeria’s complex political landscape.

While his extensive consultations with opposition figures reflect a desire to foster unity and collaboration, the absence of any official meeting with President Tinubu raises questions about potential future alliances.

As Modibbo suggests, Atiku’s next political move could include a pivotal meeting with the president.

It might offer a new dimension to his strategy as the country’s political dynamics continue to evolve.
