Nigeria Police Apprehends Notorious Facebook Rapist

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command in Nigeria has apprehended a serial rapist, Abasifreke Idongesit Ezekiel alias Michael, who lured and raped numerous young women in Uyo through a fake Facebook account.

The suspect, a native of Okara in Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State, was paraded at the Police Headquarters in Ikot Akpan Abia by Commissioner of Police, Mr. Waheed Ayilara.

Ezekiel allegedly used a fake Facebook account, “Akparawa Isaac Udofia JP”, to lure his victims to areas within Pepsi Junction, Etinan Road by Beulah School, Ekom Iman, Nkara in Ikono, and within Uyo metropolis.

According to the Police, the suspect’s modus operandi was to rape his victims, film their nude videos, and rob them of their phones and other valuables.

The Police Commissioner revealed that the suspect has been on the wanted list for cyber stalking, armed robbery, and rape.

Diaspora Digital Media understands that the suspects have confessed to the crimes and efforts are underway to apprehend his accomplices.

The arrest brings relief to the victims and their families, who had been seeking justice for the heinous crimes committed against them.

The Police Commissioner assured that the Command is committed to ensuring that justice is served and that the suspect faces the full wrath of the law.
