Chief Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete PhD was born on April 4th, 1924, and passed away on April 9th, 1995.

Throughout his life, he held numerous positions, including assessment clerk, post office clerk, and court interpreter.

He was also a political party chieftain, barrister, solicitor, and magistrate.

He achieved the high traditional office of Otota and Urhukperovie of the Ughelli polity in Ughelli Kingdom.

This office was one of the highest chieftaincy roles, cementing his influence in the community.
